This strip-plank construction kit uses Midwest Micro-Cut laser-cut basswood, cherry and mahogany parts, including forms, strongback, stems, decks and ribs, plus flexible basswood planking strips. The box includes fabric seats, a brass stem band, a full-sized rolled plan, and an illustrated step-by-step Success Series construction manual; some parts require cutting and fitting and the model can be built with simple hand tools. It is part of Midwest's Success/Apprentice Series line intended to teach strip-planking hull construction techniques.
