This is an all-wood static display model (not paddleable) of a sea kayak, built from Midwest's Micro-Cut basswood along with Lite-Ply and Birch plywood components. The kit uses laser-cut frames and cockpit coaming with pre-shaped bow and stern blocks, and the hull is finished with sheet planking over the frames. Fittings include photo-etched brass buckles, plus ribbon and elastic thread for hatch straps/bungies and felt for the seat cushion; the box also includes a rolled plan sheet and an illustrated step-by-step instruction manual. It's part of Midwest's beginner-friendly Apprentice/Success Series line, buildable with simple hand tools and no prior modeling experience required.
