Prototype ship: Bluenose

This is a plank-on-bulkhead wooden kit using laser-cut basswood parts for the keel, bulkheads and hull supports, with thin flexible basswood strips for double hull/deck planking and dark walnut trim pieces. Fittings include true-to-scale Britannia metal, brass and hardwood parts, two diameters of rigging line, cotton sailcloth, and a Canadian flag. The box includes detailed plans and a step-by-step illustrated instruction manual, and is generally rated an easy-to-intermediate build suitable for beginners. Paints, glue and tools are not included and must be purchased separately.
