A machine-carved solid basswood hull kit requiring only light shaping and sanding, with basswood strips for planking the deck and true-to-scale wood, brass and Britannia metal fittings. The kit is based on surveys by naval architect Howard Chapelle plus period photographs, and the instruction book focuses on simplified rigging techniques appropriate to the small scale. It has been discontinued by Model Shipways/Model Expo and is no longer available for purchase new from the manufacturer, though old stock may still surface at some retailers.
