This plank-on-bulkhead kit uses laser-cut basswood sheets for the hull components, plus wooden bow and stern filler blocks to help shape the hull. It includes 75 feet of copper sheathing for the below-waterline hull, wooden masts and yards, 140 deadeyes, nearly 200 blocks, multiple diameters of black standing and tan running rigging line, and an assortment of cast/fine metal fittings (brass bell, belaying pins, eyebolts, chain, anchors, bilge pump, chocks, cleats, and galley stack). Seven ship's whaleboats are built up from additional laser-cut wooden parts, and the box includes a set of six plans plus a step-by-step instruction manual; a display base and pedestals are not included. It is rated for builders with prior modeling experience (advanced skill level).
