Prototype ship: Bowdoin
Plank-on-bulkhead kit with basswood planking and mahogany trim; many wood parts are laser-cut, and the kit supplies brass, stainless steel, and Britannia pewter fittings along with ample planking stock and rigging line. Each of the two deck dories is built as its own miniature kit within the larger build. The model is developed from the real ship's blueprints, photos, and measurements, and comes with revised instructions and redrawn plans, though planking the hull shape is noted as tricky, time-consuming work suited to an experienced builder.
