Prototype ship: America

This is a plank-on-frame kit intended for advanced modelers, with a meticulously detailed interior framework that builders can leave partly unplanked to show off the framing. The kit is built mainly from basswood strip wood with cast Britannia-metal fittings (such as the detailed American eagle transom piece), with castings supplied individually bagged in an organized parts tray. It includes full-size plans and a detailed instruction/history manual, though modelers should contact BlueJacket directly to confirm exact contents such as rigging line and sails, since some catalog photos show optional extras (bases, pedestals, paint) not included in the standard kit.
