Prototype ship: Challenge (Great Lakes Schooner)

This is a solid-hull wood kit built around a precarved basswood hull rather than plank-on-frame or plank-on-bulkhead construction. The box includes a plan set, an instruction guide, and a woodset with metal fittings and rigging line for finishing the model. As typical of A.J. Fisher's classic solid-hull kit line, no laser-cutting, photo-etch, or pre-made sails are included — the modeler carves/finishes the hull and fabricates masts, spars, and rigging detail from the supplied materials.
