A small, simplified beginner's starter kit of only 36 plastic parts on four sprues, packaged with four Humbrol paint pots, a brush, waterslide decals, and illustrated instructions. German-language hobby press describes the kit's surface detail as coarse by modern standards, reflecting its older 1970s-era tooling, but confirms the decals and markings represent U-96 as depicted in the 'Das Boot' film/novel.
