Large full-hull injection-plastic kit of ~802 parts, building to 745mm long. Depicts Akagi as she appeared in 1941, with movable aerials, rudder and high-angle guns, selectable raised/lowered elevators, and clear-molded carrier aircraft (Zero 21, B5N, D3A types) included. A limited-edition 'Battle of Midway' boxing (HA40103) uses the same base kit (Z25/40025) with different markings.
