Officially licensed by the Hermione-La Fayette Association, this kit is built from a new 3D-redrawn set of plans and uses a high-precision laser-cut plywood board for the bulkheads/parts, birch veneer double-planking, wood and brass fittings, and high-quality photo-etched brass detail parts. Hand-sewn cotton sails, a display base, and a DVD/digital multimedia assembly guide with over 2,000 step photos are included; paint, glue, and tools are sold separately. A companion set of 14 metal figurines and a matching paint set are sold separately and can be bundled as a 'Gift Pack' (22517-L).
